Arcade Mario is a hack made by ワドルディ for the Mario Jams Duality Competition, in which it placed 10th. There are seven Stars to collect, all missions are unchanged from their vanilla SM64 equivalents.

This hack as an edit of vanilla Super Mario 64's first course, Bob-omb Battlefield, with some minor changes made to the game's behaviour.

The first and clearest change is to the progression in the game. There is no hub world- Mario immediately Starts in Bob-omb Battlefield in Act 1 after a message tells the player to collect all of the Stars. Collecting any of the course's main six Stars will warp Mario back to the current Act available; the coin Star doesn't have a warp attached to its collection. Mario is free to collect the Stars in any order he wishes, but the Act he's playing on will depend on which Stars have been collected. For example, if Mario collects all of the Stars except for King Bob-omb's Star, he will remain on Act 1. Defeating King Bob-omb is the only way to unlock Act 2. Obtaining Act 2's Star is the only way to unlock Act 3, and so on. There is no Act Select Screen to choose from, but it is possible to see which Act is currently active by viewing the pause menu. Upon collecting all seven Stars, the game resets to Act 1 with zero Stars after showing a cryptic message about whether or not the player has won (which they have).

The other main change is to Mario's 8 points of health. While Mario has 4, 5, 6 or 7 points of health, he will regenerate reasonably quickly. However, if his health drops to 3 points or lower, he will begin to drastically lose life. While in this imminent-death state, the game will turn monochrome and bizarre and spooky sound effects will begin to play. Upon dying, Mario will wail before being presented with a game over screen.
