Cards can be sold with additional uses already applied for a higher price. The player can add uses to purchased cards by visiting the bar in the lobby.

  • Simply performing one of Mario's moves
  • Granting the player 10 coins
  • Blowing a Bob-omb up on Mario
  • Taking away 2HP
  • Playing a sound effect
  • Granting Mario the Wing, Metal and Invisibility Caps all at once
  • Throwing Mario up in the air
  • Healing Mario
  • Putting Mario into a Koopa shell-riding state
  • Discarding one of the other cards
  • Discarding of the other active cards for itself (thus changing which button it corresponds to) and summoning a new card to its prior button
  • Tripping Mario over

Allows Mario to perform a wallkick. If the wallkick is performed on the first possible frame (referred to as performing a "firstie"), Mario can use another move while airborne without having to touch the ground.

Casino[]

  • Luigi: Will sell the player cards. His selection of cards can be randomly shuffled by paying him 20 coins.
  • Vivian: Will help the player organize their cards, including disposing of cards, or laminating them (making them permanent).
  • Monty Mole: Will offer to play a card game with the player for 15 coins, in which the player can win any of the cards Monty Mole has laid out on his table prior to the game starting.
  • The Witch: Will tell the player more about the uses of certain cards.
  • Toad: Tutorial NPC, and the only mobile NPC that can be spoken to.
