Belly of the Sphinx is a ROM hack created by ChewieGoron for the SimpleFlips' Slide Hack Competition (2024) ft. PirateSoftware.
This hack features a single slide level that is procedurally generated each time it is entered. Multiple types of objects can appear on the slide, some of which increase Mario's score and some which harm him. The further Mario slides, the higher his score. The high score remains saved even after the hack is quit.
The slide level is accessed from the overworld area, which is a red desert area with a large sphinx at the centre. A crawlspace can be accessed at the back of the sphinx, which leads to a small cosy room. In this room, several signs can be read to view the credits.
