Champion's Challenge is a secret level which focuses on difficult jumps in Super Mario 74. In order to reach this area, Mario must first have unlocked the Wing Cap, then head to the top of the Magma temple and use the cap to fly to a platform with a pipe (across from the one leading to Cliff of Wrath) It consists of lots of difficult parkour challenges up a rocky structure with a star at the top. According to a sign at the start, there are four types of textures, each indicating how to progress. They are as follows:
- Light Green: A floor, can be stood on.
- Dark Purple: A wall that does not serve any purpose.
- Dark Green: A slope that should be triple-jumped off.
- Light Purple: A wall that should be wall-kicked off.
Star names are fan-made and are not official.
Star 1: Champion of JumpingEdit
Mario must complete all the jumps, using triple jumps and wall kicks to reach the star.
Star 2: The 151st Star Edit
This star is hidden underground, and cannot be reached through the normal area of Champion's Challenge. Instead, Mario must get to the warp pipe in the Castle Grounds. This star is arguably one of the hardest stars to both get and find, as the warp that gets to the Castle Grounds is hidden in Bowser's Crystal Palace in an obscure location.
