Chuckya

Chuckya's, also written as Chuck-Ya's, are a large purple sub-species of Bob-ombs found in Super Mario 64 and its remake, as well in several SM64 hacks.

Their only form of attack is to grab Mario and throw him in a random direction, this can lead to him falling of a stage and losing a life. The act of throwing Mario will not damage him on its own, but depending on where the Chuckya throws Mario, he could sustain fall damage. In vanilla Super Mario 64, Chuckya's typically appear as a unique enemy in a level, similar to Chain Chomp's. This does not mean that multiple Chuckya's cannot exist in the same area, however.

To defeat a Chuckya, Mario must pick it up and throw it on the ground, much like how he did with King Bob-omb, but Chuckya's will only need one hit to die. Doing this generally requires the Chuckya to be standing still. They can move much faster than most enemies, but only in short bursts. Upon being defeated, a Chuckya will explode and drop five coins. This makes them a popular choice to hacks which require Mario to get a coin Star.
