Dackage Practice is a small hack created by Dackage for the month of Daily Katze Hacks.

Overview[]

This hack has three main courses to play, with one overworld connecting them. The missions are classic style, with each course having a red coin mission, a 100 coin Star, and a number of missions requiring exploration and platforming. There are no boss fights, NPCs to talk to, nor an endscreen.

Courses two and three both have unfinished missions for their final Stars. Rather than have them be unobtainable, the hack creator instead opted to place their respective Stars very close to Mario's starting point, and have them appear on Act 6 only, thus allowing players to collect all 21 Stars for three courses.

This hack contains three custom enemies, all variations of Shy Guy's; Goomba-size, miniature, and giant. Additionally, Mario's lives counter has been disabled; all other gameplay aspects are unchanged.

This hack also utilises the More Objects Patches by Kaze, specifically, the Flipswitch Panels are used in course three. For whatever reason, when the panels are activated, they become invisible (whereas they would ordinarily turn yellow), but the objects still exist, and can still be interacted with.
