Disaster Quest Tree is a ROM Hack created by Hoppiper26. This is the creator's first ever hack with over 10 levels and 65 Stars. For all intents and purposes, each level bear a play-on-words vaguely related to a type of tree.
"A short hack made by me to try to get more practice with modelling and the hack creation process as a whole", as quoted by the creator.
The title is also subject to parodying a hack which is Master Quest (Cavin856's mainline hack series) because both titles are assonances opposite to each other. It might also be pointing out as a spin-off as well, since the word Tree assumes it to be the third generation relative to Master Quest. (Three and Tree almost sound the same but are pronounced differently).
The sequel, Disaster Quest TrEE, was released the following year as the extreme version of the original.
