Frost Mountain is the third course in Plutonium Mario 64.
This course is a snow-themed valley with an icy lake in the middle, which will burn Mario on contact. It has a number of pillars and wooden bridges throughout the entire level, as well as some moving platforms and a secret warp pipe. To reach this warp pipe, head to Star 6 and wallkick up to the upper portion of the cliff above the Star, then step on the moving platform to be carried up to the pipe.
The cannons in this course do not need a Bob-omb Buddy to open them, they are accessible immediately from the first Act.

Act 1: Red Coins In The Lake[]
The red coin locations are as follows:
- On the ice lake's wooden bridge, closest to Mario's starting point
- On the ice lake's left-most wooden bridge
- On one of the small pillars in the ice lake
- On one of the rectangular pillars in a row of three, in the ice lake
- On the ice lake's pillar closest to the house
- On the widest pillar in the ice lake
- On the ice lake's tallest pillar; this can be reaced using the nearby moving platforms
- On the second tallest pillar in the ice lake; this can be reached via a wooden bridge that connects it to the left-most cliff in the level
Once all of the red coins have been collected, the Star will spawn on the low pillar in the middle of the ice lake.
Act 2:[]
This Star is located in an enclosed area filled with a lot of wooden bridges. To reach this area, climb up the pile of breakable boxes around to the left of Mario's starting point, and platform up the ledges to reach the wooden bridge. At the end of this wooden bridge, enter the cave opening on the left.
Once inside this area, platform up to the top of this area using the wooden bridges crisscrossing it, and grab the Star at the top. If you sustain any fall damage, there is a recovery heart placed just outside the entrance to this area.
Act 3:[]
This Star is located in a high recess on the cliff face opposite Mario's starting point. To reach it, the player will first need to reach the clutter of wooden bridges on the ledge nearest the Star's recess.
This part of the level can be reached by climbing up the pole on top of the house, then jumping off of it onto the wooden bridge next to it. You can reach the house's rooftop pole via cannon, or by jumping to it from another part of the level. Once on the wooden bridges, keep ascending up the wooden bridges, while avoiding the two Chill Bullies, and jump over to the Star from the highest wooden platform.
Act 4:[]
This Star can be found on the floating octagonal platform in the centre of the level. To reach it, the player can use either of the two cannons located in this course. They can be found at opposite sides of the ice lake on black raised platforms.
Act 5:[]
This Star is right above Mario's starting point, at the end of a long wooden ledge. To reach it, head into the recessed part of the cliff to the left of the house opposite the lake, and platform up the slope to the purple (reddish) switch on the bricks at the top. This will spawn a series of wooden boxes that will allow the player to reach the floatinf zigzagging wooden bridge.
Once on the bridge, head to the other end of it and jump over to the high recessed part of the cliff. While being wary of the nearby Snowman, platform up to the next ledge using the wooden crates, then keep heading up until you reach the octagonal platform. This will carry the player up to the high wooden ledge with the Star at the end. Just be careful of the Fly Guy and Snowman on the path as well.
Act 6:[]
This Star is up on a high ledge to the right of Mario's starting point. To reach it, climb up the wooden boxes behind the tree, then continue up te path across ledges and wooden bridges until you reach the Star. Be mindful of the Snowman on the third ledge, and the gap between that and the last wooden bridge that requires jumping over.
