Garfield: Desolation is a mini hack made by anonymous_moose, with one Star. This hack was submitted to the Mario Jams Disaster Competition, in which it placed 1st.
The world has crumbled into ruin. Garfield has survived for now, but there's only so long that one can live on an empty stomach... Created for the 3rd Mario Jams Competition: Disaster.

Overview[]
This hack takes place in a post-apocalyptic nuclear world, through which Garfield must traverse. There are 8 red coins to collect along the way which are needed for the only Star in this hack.
Presumably, this hack was inspired by the many memes that take media popular with children and/or the general public, and combine them with deliberately sinister themes.
Playable Character[]
Garfield is a fictional anthropomorphic orange cat created by Jim Davis. He originally first appeared in the 1976 comic strip Jon, and since then has become a pop culture phenomenon. You can read more about this character on his Wikipedia page.
For this hack, Garfield has received a custom set of sound effects to replace Mario's voice. His moveset has been left unchanged.
