Kid Dicarus: The Uprising is a ROM hack made by KeyBlader for the Crossover Themed Level Competition, in which it placed 21st.

Based on the NES game Kid Icarus
Go through the underworld with your trusty bow
climbing yourself to freedom.

Will you /RiSe/ to the occasion?

This hack is based off of the Kid Icarus franchise, and primarily takes inspiration from the first game in the series. While this hack's name directly references the 2012 instalment in the franchise, Kid Icarus: Uprising, the gameplay of the hack takes far more inspiration from the franchise's first instalment, Kid Icarus.

This hack features custom mechanics that alter the function of the B button ( B ). Rather than the punching or kicking, Mario now shoots an arrow from his bow. This can be used to kill enemies from a distance, and make funny pewpew noises. Unfortunately, this means that it is no longer possible to wallkick, and that certain styles of platforming are limited.
