Kirby's Kitchen is a hack made by MishuK9 for the Music Themed Level Competition, in which it placed 18th.
C1: Crazy Kitchen[]
This might be the most fucked-up kitchen I've ever seen. Modern architecture, I guess. I think the countertop with the Matzo is behind that giant stack of pills.
Crazy Kitchen is the only main course in this hack. It is a snowy(?) landscape that is also a kitchen(?). There are objects from vanilla SM64's Tick Tock Clock, a Whomp King to defeat, Heave-Ho's, a giant bowl of oatmeal, drugs courtesy of Dr Mario, and Dr Mario himself, who can be found standing next to his pile of non-FDA approved pills.
Acts[]
Star 1: Mad Mad Matzo[]
Head over towards the pile of pills, then round the back of it. There is a section of wall that can be easily wallkicked up. On the upper section above this wallkicking segment is... some kind of doughy Whomp King. Defeat him in battle, and collect his Star from the level entry point.
Star 2: Piping Hot Oatmeal[]
Head past the boxes of oatmeal and scale the snowy-textured large steps. Wallkick up a section of wall behind the giant bowl
Star 3: Roxanne's Rocks[]
Walk through the tall wooden walls on the other side of the level to enter an underground cavern full of lava. There are 5 Secrets to discover here marked with a coin each, as well as one decoy. The decoy coin will fly away from Mario when he goes near it; this can be ignored as it doesn't indicate a real Secret.
Star 4: I Am Dr. Mario[]
Collect all of the 8 red coins scattered inside the pile of pills. The red coins are all inside of the red ends of capsules, which are non-solid. The Star spawns at the top of the pile.
Star 5: Board The Vengabus[]
Use the purple switch down below the pile of pills to spawn some crates in front of the vengabus. These can be used to reach the Star on the roof of the Vengabus- make sure to jump directly onto the Star as the roof is made of quicksand.
Star 6: Suavemente, Besame[]
Head past the Vengabus and grab the Vanish Cap. Before the powerup wears off, ascend the moving blocks and jump through the metal grate to brag the Star at the top.
Coin Star[]
The blue coin switch is behind the pile of pills, and will spawn several blue coins in a vertical line. Collect them all by wallkicking up.
Boss[]
After collecting at least 3 Stars, the Bowser Course can be unlocked. Except it's not Bowser- it's Big Chungus. This is a retextured Big Bully that can be defeated with the usual strategy of pushing it into lava. However, the model seems to be quite off-centre, so it can be difficult to get the timing correct.
On the short path leading up to the boss, there is an invisible door placed in the way of the jump up to the third platform that will drop the player down into lava. This can be avoided by jumping from the side of the platform instead of the corner.
Trivia[]
- After getting a Star and exiting the level, Kirby will take off a piece of skin shaped like a Mario hat and perform the same animation that Mario normally would.
- The Power Stars have been retextured to mimic the Star icon used by SimpleFlips.
