Lapis-Lazuli Lagoon is a ROM hack created by 22neptun for the SirRouven1003's Hack Pack. Currently, this hack is only available in German.

The in-game name of the level featured in this hack is Lapislazuli-Lagune. It has 7 Stars, including a 100 coin Star.

Navigating the Lagoon[]

This level has a number of clifftops which require traversing for most of the Stars. There are two pathways that can be used to reach the clifftops:

  1. Around the cabin. Round to the right of Mario's starting point is a cove with a cabin, where two Bob-omb Buddies live. Head around the back of the cabin and jump to the nearby ledge, then follow the ascending outcroppings on the cliff face. Mario will need to leap across the slippery roof to reach the opposing cliff when he is roughly halfway up. The clifftop at the top of the path can be used to jump down to the other clifftops, but not the other way around.
  2. Ahead of Mario's starting point is a random, small rocky platform between two waterfalls. Swim into the right waterfall and jump upwards, into the hidden area. Climb up the rock formations here to reach the lower clifftops.

Acts[]

Act 1: Perlentaucher[]

This Star requires Mario to discover 5 Secrets, all of which are hidden inside clams. The locations of the clams are as follows:

  1. Next to the entrance to the underwater temple (see Act 5 for directions to the temple).
  2. Underneath an alcove containing a red coin, around the back of the level.
  3. Near to the aforementioned clam, inside an underwater tunnel.
  4. At the bottom of the waterfall pool next to the cabin.
  5. Inside a longer underwater tunnel, near to the cabin's cove.

Act 2: Zur Quelle![]

This Star is located at the top of a series of stair-like waterfalls. To reach it, climb up to the cliffs via either one of the two cliff paths. Then, follow the path leading up to the Star statue, and jump across to the adjacent clifftop. Climb the palm tree and jump off from the top, wallkicking off of the cliff at the height of Mario's jump to reach the top of that waterfall. The Star is located up there.

Act 3: Klippenspringer[]

To reach this Star, first climb the cliff path ascending up around the cabin. Once at the top, jump down to the small grassy ledge and follow the treachorous path around, jumping between the small outcroppings when needed. Go through the cliff where the Chuckya hangs out, and jump down to the much lower ledge below, where the Star is.

Act 4: Durch Die Stromschnellen-Quellen[]

This Star is hidden through an underwater tunnel around to the left of Mario's starting point. Swim through the underwater tunnel and find the large cavern filled with water, with a number of underwater tornadoes in it.

To reach the Star, Mario must swim through the water without getting pulled into any of the tornadoes. The water has a very fast current that will quickly carry him to the end, but will also make dodging the tornadoes more challenging. The path splits halfway, but both end up at the Star.

Act 5: Der Weg Durch Den Tempel[]

This mission involves navigating an underwater temple maze. To reach the entrance, swim around to the second left from Mario's starting point, then dive down into the deep area below the Skeeter. The maze itself has a number of crossroads signified by large blue arrows on the wall pointing left and right. To reach the Star, follow these directions at each of the marked crossroads:

  1. Left
  2. Left
  3. Left
  4. Right
  5. Left
  6. Right

Act 6: Rote Muenzen In Der Blauen Lagune[]

The red coin locations are as follows:

  1. Inside a clam above the entrance to the underwater temple.
  2. In an alcove behind the stairs leading up to the cabin.
  3. On a small wooden platform behind the cabin.
  4. In an alcove at the back of the level. This alcove is too high up to reach from the water, so Mario will need to jump over to it from a higher point in the level.
  5. High up next to the waterfall, immediately to the right of Mario's starting point. This is too high up to reach from the ground, so Mario will need to drop down onto it from a higher point.
  6. On the path leading up around the cabin, a red coin can be found on a small rocky outcropping. This can be jumped to from the platform preceeding the roof.
  7. Inside of a crystal leading up to the underwater temple maze- swim into the back of it.
  8. At the top of the cliff next to the cabin, accessible via the cliff path ascending up around the cabin.

The Star will spawn at an unmarked location on top of one of the cliffs near the middle of the level, accessible from either of the ascending cliff paths.

Coin Star[]

There are fairly few coins in this level, but there are no coins in the underwater temple maze, thankfully. A blue coin switch can be used to obtain three blue coins, totalling to 15 coins. It is located on the clifftop leading to the Star statue.

Here are the locations for some coin formations in this level:

  • A coin ring surrounds the Star statue on a cliff at the back of the level.
  • A coin ring surrounds the fifth red coin.
  • An underwater line of coins can be found below the waterfall that hides the path up the cliffs.
  • A line of coins can be found on one of the lower waterfalls leading up to Act 2's Star.
  • Along the path leading to Act 3's Star, there are two coin lines and a Chuckya.
  • A line of coins can be found on the path up to the Star statue.
