Mario 64 Utopia Demo is a ROM hack created by nutta. It is a demo for a hack still in progress, which the creator is documenting on their YouTube channel.
Overview[]
This hack contains one secret course called Pipeland, which contains three Stars to collect. Collecting the final Star in this level, which is in a ! box at the top of the level, will not initiate a save, and will warp Mario back to the beginning of the course. The other two Stars, which are a 100 coin Star and a red coin Star, can both be saved. Neither of the coin Stars will initiate a warp.
Fall damage has been disabled, however, Mario will still behave as though he has sustained damage, despite his HP not having been reduced. Mario now starts with zero lives instead of four, and can collect 1UPs in the course.
