Mario Goes Spelunking 64 is a ROM hack created by surreal012 for the SimpleFlips' Slide Hack Competition (2024) ft. PirateSoftware. It is the creator's first SM64 ROM hack.

Overview[]
This hack is a relatively small slide hack with a strong emphasis on music. A small number of gameplay mechanics have been altered, including removing fall damage, and changing how certain warps work. After dying or collecting a Star, Mario will be warped back to that level's starting point. Any coins collected up until then will remain collected, thereby taking away nearly all consequences usually associated with dying.
