Mario In The Colorful Lands is a ROM hack created by BlueToonYoshi.
Welcome to the Colorful Lands! A colorful world that was once peaceful, but Bowser stole the Grand Colorful Star and plans to use its power to take over the lands! Help Mario grab as many Colorful Stars as he can to challenge Bowser and take back control of the lands and restore peace. I believe in you! You can do it! There are 93 Colorful Stars total for 100% completion.
This hack is a highly gameplay-driven hack featuring many personal messages from the creator, and an abundance of secrets for the player to find. Among them, the player is challenged to find a hidden pixel Yoshi in each level, with each Yoshi being a different colour.
Gameplay Changes[]
- 100 coin Stars now only require 80 coins.
- Only 6 out of 8 red coins are needed to spawn the corresponding Star.
- Mario no longer has a lives counter.
- All main courses are available to play from the beginning, without having any of Star requirements.
