Super Mario 64 Hacks Wiki

Mario in the Dreamscape is a ROM hack made by Angry, released in February 2024 with a total of 145 Stars.

This hack was originally titled Mario's Demise 64 and planned to contain 100 stars in its early development in 2020, then a full length demo with 104 Stars was released 2 years later. The hack is story-based and has lots of text explaining the plot and whereabouts of each hidden stage. It also has a semi-overworld system where all worlds don't require an amount of Stars up until the Dreamscape part and largely focuses on platforming and exploration combined.

Bowser is at it again! He has made his way to some outskirted lands of the Mushroom Kingdom and is causing mayhem! And so Mario begins his usual journey of collecting Stars to follow Bowser into a strange, hectic realm where everyone is being watched...
