Palmathroncentaurie is a ROM hack created by GameProfi64 which was included in SirRouven1003's Hack Pack. Currently, this hack is only available in German.
Gameplay[]
This hack has one course overwriting Bob-omb Battlefield called Palmathroncenturie, and uses vanilla SM64's overworld. There is no 100 coin Star or equivalent for this course, as there are not enough coins in the level to spawn it.
The course itself is a grassy landscape with a number of small passageways in it. For Acts 1 through to 5, a cannon is available on one of the hilltops near Mario's starting point, with no Bob-omb Buddy required to unlock it.
This hack is prone to crashing. This happens when Mario jumps from the top of the hill (where the second red coin is) down towards the area with the white pillars. This can be avoided by jumping down from the hilltop onto the swirly grey brick structure, and sticking to the paths to reach the white pillars.
Stars[]
Act 1: Schiesse Dich Zum Turm[]
The first Star requires the player to scale the collection of white brick pillars. For some of them, you'll need to perform a triple-jump or wallkick off of a nearby pillar to reach the next one up, but they are a relatively simple climb.
On top of the highest pillar, jump down into the central hole, and stay in the middle of it to land on the Star at the bottom, or else you'll land on lava. Note that you can also reach the highest pillar using the cannon, by aiming it nearly straight up.
Act 2: Das Geheimniss Der Magmar[]
Head over to the entrance to the dark maze, but don't enter. Opposite of the entrance at the end of the path is a set of grassy stairs. Once at teh top of them, longjump over to the grassy ledge next to the circular white brick, and ascend the slope here. This is not the intended route- if you want to do it the way the hack creator intended, then follow the instructions in the collapsible element.
The slope is a bit slippery, so you'll need to take an alternative approach to climbing it, such as wallkicking up between the walls on either side of the slope, or using slope-kicks to ascend. The Star is next to the top of the slope.
Act 3: Im Dunkeln Is Jut Munkeln[]
For this Star, you'll need to head into the dark opening in the base of the mountain. Inside, there's a pitch-black maze with a bright line tracing a path through it. Ignore this line; it will lead Mario into a quicksand pit. Instead, at the first turning, keep going straight, and hug the left wall until Mario enters another black corridor. At the end of it, wallkick upwards to the next black passage, which will lead him out to the top of the mountain, where the Star is.
If navigating the dark maze sounds too annoying to bother with, simply head over to the cannon, and shoot Mario up to the top of the hill instead.
Act 4: Die 5 Roten Muenzen[]
This is the red coin mission. Their locations are as follows:
- To the left of Mario's starting point.
- From Mario's starting point, follow the arrow and jump up the grassy stairs to the right. Once up here, jump up to the taller hill, which has a vertical coin circle with a red coin in the middle at the top. [NOTE: Do not head over to the white pillars from this hilltop as it will crash the game]
- From Mario's starting point, follow the arrow and jump up the grassy stairs to the right. Once up here, head over to the grey stone swirly structure, and drop down into the centre of it, and enter the narrow opening in the side of the grassy hill; there is a red coin at the end of this small passageway.
- Head over to the white circular structure next to the entrance to the dark maze, and enter the square hole in the base of the cliff, opposite the white structure's entrance. Follow this tunnel to its end, where a red coin awaits.
- On top of the sixth white pillar.
The Star spawns on top of the small monument near the centre of the course. You can longjump straight onto the Star if the white pillars' red coin was your final coin collected.
Act 5: Seltsamer Turm[]
Head back up to the clifftop with the slope ascending up to Star 2, but don't climb the slope. Instead, longjump over to the white circular structure and into the centre of it. This will take Mario down to a tunnel which leads straight to the Star.
Act 6: Ohne Kanone Keine Krone[]
Head over to the hilltop that normally has a cannon on it, and jump down into the cannon hole. For this Act only, the cannon is absent, allowing Mario to access the tunnel under it, which has a Star at its end.
