Super Mario 64 Hacks Wiki

Peach's Fury is a minor hack made by Kaze Emanuar. Kaze made it to show people the optimizations he did to the original source code of Super Mario 64 for his new major hack Return to Yoshi's Island 64.

This hack bears similarities to the official DLC for the Super Mario 3D World Port to Switch, Bowser's Fury, in that it is comprised of one giant level with 25 Stars to find around it.

Rather than the usual HP pie that Mario has in SM64, this hack employs a checkpoint system that kicks in whenever Mario sustains damage or enters the water around the islands. This includes fall damage, although the height at which Mario needs to fall to take damage has been increased. The checkpoint system does not require any input from the player to function and is entirely automatic, similar to Lakitu's role in most Mario Kart games.

This hacks also features a new power-up for Cloud Mario, as first seen in Super Mario Galaxy 2, and previously used in SM64: Last Impact, one of the hack author's most popular creations. With this power-up, Mario can summon up to three cloud platforms anywhere he wishes.

Cloud platforms by pressing A (jump button) while already airbourne (it can occasionally occur when trying to wall-kick). The platforms are not permanent, however, and will fade after a short time. After using all three clouds, Cloud Mario will revert back to Mario. Until he once again re-obtains the power-up. Collecting the power-up while it is already in effect will replenish the number of cloud platforms Mario can summon back up to three. The only place this power-up can be collected in this hack is in the main level at it's highest point, reachable via two rainbow bridges. If Cloud Mario enters either of the warp pipes leading to the sub-areas, he will automatically revert back to Mario.

Plot[]

Mario spent the entirety of Peach's money on food, and now he is in debt to her! He must collect 25 Stars to pay her back.

Stars[]

There are 25 Stars to collect across Peach's Castle Fields. Some of them can be found by exploring the level and finding them hidden, or occasionally in plain sight. Many other Stars require Mario to solve a puzzle or fulfil a set of conditions to make a Star appear. There are two sub-areas that can be accessed from the main area, both by warp pipes. Both sub-areas have one Star each, and will travelling to and from them will not affect Mario's coin score.

Star Name How to obtain it
Goomba Isle Left (from Mario's view) of Peach's Castle there's a little metal island with a Goomba Flag and a bunch of Goombas, defeat them to get the Star.
Sand Castle In front of Peach's Castle, there's a Sand Island with a bunch of sand boxes in the form of a sand castle. Destroy the blocks to find the Star.
BirdHouse Right from Peach's Castle, there's a giant tree with birdhouses in its branches. Jump through them all and the Star will be in the last.
Crawlspot On top of the same tree, crouch on the hole of the top and get the Star.
Lonely Island On top of the same tree, there is a button, Press it and a bunch of blocks will appear. Wallkick up them until you reach the lonely island and get the Star.
Red Bird Canyon Next to the big tree there a canyon with 8 red birds, when you pass by them they fly away and leave a red coin. Collect all red coins and the Star will spawn on the metal grid.
Below the Canyon Grid In the same canyon below the metal grid there a hole in the right wall with a Star; wallkick to get it.
Scavanger Signs In a giant rock left (Mario's view) of Peach's Castle, there is a sign saying to go to the tip of the haunted ship. Go to the tip and ground pound to discover a sign; do this until you finally ground pound a Star.
Pyramid Pillars Next to the canyon there a bunch of pyramid pillars. In the highest one is a Star.
Glowing Rock Find the rock next to the haunted abandoned ship with a yellow glow, and ground-pound it to get a Star.
Ghost Lookout In the haunted ship, there is a button. Press it and a bunch of boxes will appear; climp up until you reach the top of the ship to get a Star.
8 Bit Underground Next to the sandy island, there a small mountain. Climb it and jump onto the 8-Bit Pipe; finish the obstacle course based on the underground levels of the original Super Mario Bros. to get a Star.
Volcano Next to the small mountain there is a volcano, Next to the volcano, there is a Star.
8 Bit Clouds Next to the windmills (which are on top of the pyramid), there is a cloud with a 8-Bit Pipe. Jump on it and complete the obstacle course based on the new cloud levels for SMB1 on Super Mario Maker 2.
Windmill Heights On the last floating windmill, there's a Star at the top.
Glowing Island Find the glowing spot behind one of the windmills- ground-pound it to get the Star.
Cloud Climb Between the two rainbow roads, there is a cloud with a power-up box. Grab the cloud power-up and use it to get the Star above.
Playground Silvers Head to the playground of boxes and grab the 5 Silver Stars scattered around to spawn the Star.
Mario Go Round In the playground, there a Merry-Go-Round next to a red tower. Run around in circles on it to spin it, and do that for long for enough to spawn a Star.
Bowsers Airship Next to the playground there is a Bowser Airship! Head on over and break one of the barrels to get a Star.
Chuckya Isle Next to the playground, there is a metal platform with a Chuckya Flag and some Chuckyas. Defeat them all to get the Star.
Hexagon Puzzle Next to the Chuckya Isle there a cloud with 6 hexagons of different colors. At the top there a sign telling you that you have to step in a specific order (Blue, Pink, Purple, Orange, Red, Green and Yellow) to get the Star.
The Canyon Hole In the rock that had the hidden map sign, there is a hole with a Star; use the cloud power-up to get it.
Peach's Castle Flag This Star is at the top of the flag of Peach's Castle. The easiest way of reaching it is by using the cloud power-up, but Mario can also platform up to it from the flying boats to the right of the Castle.
100 Coins Collect 100 coins.

After collecting all the Stars, talk to Peach again and she says that you will only be off the hook if you subscribe to Kaze Emanuar, and then the hack ends.
