Rashay is a character created by Kaze Emanuar who serves as the main antagonist of the hack SM64: Last Impact.
Overview[]
Rashay is as twisted and cruel as they come. While his motives for attempting to destroy the world aren't ever made clear, he could be doing so simply for fun. He appears to enjoy watching others suffer, as he toys with Mario during their final encounter, and forces Peach to watch as he nearly kills Mario.
Rashay also seems to be incredibly arrogant and narcissistic. He may view himself above humans, given how he refers to Peach as a "thing" as well as referring to himself as a god. During the final fight, Rashay explains that he is not at full power, but still believes he is at a state where he doesn't need to take Mario seriously.
Thankfully, his hubris is his downfall, as he underestimates Mario's determination, and the heroic plumber manages to survive long enough to harness the power of the stars he has collected. This allows him to defeat Rashay and the threat he possesses, possibly forever.
Castle Grounds[]
Rashay's initial appearance is simply two green eyes and a grin, floating in the air. He captures Peach during a dialogue initiated by returning to the first hub with at least 45 stars. He offers to return her in exchange for 80 stars.
Rashay's Moon Cellar[]
He is next seen in person at the bottom of Rashay's Moon Cellar, as the final boss of the game. He is a gray head with two green eyes and a grin, as well as two disembodied black hands.
First phase[]
During the first phase, he will throw platforms, which Mario must jump onto. Rashay will claw at Mario, dealing 2 damage and knocking him back.
Second phase[]
During the second phase, Rashay chases Mario for a while before teleporting in front of him to perform a wicked combo, which can nearly kill Mario.
Third phase[]
During the third phase, he will transform into a bony snake that flies through the air. He can spit fireballs that deal 3 damage, or lower himself to attempt a biting attack. His head becomes exposed here, leaving him weak to a ground pound. After taking 5 hits, Rashay is defeated.

Trivia[]
- Kaze Emanuar stated in his developer commentary that the design for Rashay came from a recurring figure in his nightmares as a child.
