SM64 Bungle Trouble is a ROM hack created by Nutta. It is a demo for a hack that later became Ultra Mario 64.
Gameplay[]
This hack contains one level called Wiggler Greens. It has a linear layout, with one sub-area accessed via a warp pipe towards the furthest end of the level.
Camera controls, coin requirements, and fall damage are all unchanged from vanilla SM64. Mario cam is recommended for use when in Wiggler Greens' Starting Area or Crystal Cave, as Lakitu cam seems extra buggy in those areas.
Level Layout[]
To help describe the locations of this level's collectables and missions, names have been given to sections of this level to help clarify which area is being referred to.

Stars[]
Act 1: Wiggler Royal Battle[]
Act 2: The Star In The Hidden Room[]
Act 3: Find The Shuffled Starcoins[]
One of the Starcoins is located in this level's sub-area, the Hidden Room. It is advised to avoid collecting this Starcoin last, as it may interfere with the Star spawning.
- On top of the tree to the left of Mario's starting point
- On the highest wooden platform in the Poison Waterfalls
- Inside the second large crate in the Hidden Room
- Behind the tree in the Grape Gardens
- On top of the tree halfway up the slopes leading to where Mario fought Wiggler; this one can be particularly deceptive as it doesn't render until Mario is close enough, by which point the player wouldn't be looking up in the trees
The Star will spawn back in the Starting Cavern.
Act 4: The Lost 8 Red Coins[]
Unlike the Starcoins, the red coins can be collected during any of this level's Acts. One of the red coins is located in this level's sub-area, the Hidden Room. It is advised to avoid collecting this red coin last, as it may interfere with the Star spawning. Their locations are as follows:
- In the starting cavern, in the back-right corner of the cavern
- In the Crystal Cave, between some crystals behind the blue coin switch
- On one of the high wooden platforms above the Poison Waterfalls
- On one of the upright logs in the river, in the Poison Waterfalls
- Inside a crate in the Hidden Room
- On top of the Chain Chomp's post
- On top of a tree in Chomp's Yard
- In the Bob-omb cavern at the bottom of a vine; use the wooden platform against the wall to reach the vines hanging from the ceiling, then jump from vine to vine to reach the coin
The Star will spawn on top of a mushroom in the Grape Gardens.
Act 5: Leaves Platforming[]
Act 6: The Hidden Wall Jump[]
100 Coin Star[]
This level contains at least 197 coins (most likely 198)[1]. The blue coin switch will spawn 4 blue coins in one easy-to-collect formation, totalling 20 coins when collected. Each Starcoin is worth 5 regular coins, meaning that the 100 coin Star is easiest to get when playing on Act 3.
- ↑ Pretty sure a Bob-omb blew up a random coin I was about to get, but highest coin score was 197 from playing on Act 3; could also be as high as 203, as I may have only collected 4 out of 5 Starcoins.
