Personal Life[]
During 2021, Skelux disclosed to his community that he was currently dealing with a form of brain cancer[1] and received surgical intervention for it soon after. Because of the risky nature of the operation, Skelux decided to share some of his more personal social media connections, such as his Reddit and Roblox accounts[2].
Despite his initial hesitation to do so, Skelux eventually opted to undergo radiotherapy to give himself the best possible chance of survival to do so[3][4], although he would later still be on the fence about this[5].
As part of remaining open with his following and documenting his journey, Skelux stated that he had received a formal diagnosis of "WHO grade II oligodendroglioma, with IDH mutation and 1p19q deletion"[4], and later even posted the scans taken of his brain before and after the surgery[5]. Amazingly, approximately one year after first posting about his cancer, Skelux had already returned to updating his Patreon[6].
