Smart Spheres 0 is a major ROM hack made by ShiN3, with over 15 levels and 182 Stars. It is an enhanced version of STUPID BALLZ 2 that includes retextured assets inspired by other kaizo ROM hacks; all the levels were rebranded to new names and music tracks are updated, as well as some minor collision bugfixes. One major difference is the titular game trademark changed to the original creator's name.
In addition, a new gameplay feature called B-Sides is included, which are optional harder versions of specific levels as an inspiration by the game Celeste, and a new reward for collecting all 182 Stars.

Specific levels are chosen if:
- A-Side (heart pipe): nerfed version with altered changes, making the difficulty easier and accessible to most players.
- B-Side (skull pipe): original STUPID BALLZ 2 version, left as intended and harder
