Star Revenge 2: To The Moon is a ROM hack created by BroDute. It is supposedly to be the second installment, and the true sequel of Star Revenge 1 until BroDute changed plans to create another Star Revenge tie-in during its development in 2012. Eventually, the hack was cancelled and Star Revenge 2 became what was next known to the public: Night of Doom.
This demo version holds only a total of 3 completed levels and 21 stars, and exclusively, BroDute himself was portrayed as Mario in the game (with a different outfit: light blue overalls, yellow shirt and hat). Since then, the scrapped levels were present multiple times in other installments and To The Moon was ultimately revived in 2017 under the (Act 1) brand, serving as the first prequel of the series and toward Night of Doom as its now de-facto sequel.

Trivia[]
- Whatever used to be beyond the roadblocks and empty spaces in the overworld are meant to be the next levels if the hack wasn't cancelled at the time.
- Retro Grassland pays homage to older Mario games such as Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World.
- A hidden area with a strange rune symbol can be found in the main levels, but only two were used for later purposes in other Star Revenge hacks (Courses 1 & 2).
- An unofficial update edited by Tomatobird8 brings up the vanilla Bowser 1 as an extra since this has no real ending.
- Another project, Super Mario: Stolen Colors, is the second hack BroDute has cancelled along with To the Moon with the same circumstances. However, Stolen Colors never got a remake or a full release.
