Star Revenge 7.5: Kedowser's Return is a ROM hack made by BroDute and the sequel of Star Revenge 7: Park of Time.
Kedowser's Return is the spiritual successor of Star Revenge 6.5 as it retakes single word hints for Stars necessary to find from a thorough search and exploration. Additionally, levels are littered with Troll Stars moreso here than in most other Star Revenge hacks.
Gameplay[]
This hack also reuses the concept of badges, working the same way they did in the previous hack. It also uses switch blocks in a unique fashion. Pink and blue switch blocks are used for getting the 6th Star and the 100 coin Star respectively (see explanation below).
In order to complete the hack, it is required to get a password from Park of Time in order to press the green switch. Green switch boxes are used for creating warps.
In the latest version of this hack, Mario's lives counter has been disabled, and red coin Stars (recoloured in this hack to appear green) only require six out of the eight coins to be collected. Unlike other Star Revenge hacks with these gameplay changes, Kedowser's Return still has fall damage enabled.
Switches[]
Each of the main courses has a custom mechanic in place for the sixth Star and the 100 coin Star. There is also a green Switch, which solidifies the green boxes. When broken, the green warp blocks will create a warp point marked by a static Star model, which will warp Mario to another point within the same level.
Blue Switch[]
The blue Switch requires 25 Stars to access, and is found in the first overworld behind the 70 Star door. It allows the player to collect the 100 coin Stars in the main courses.
The 100 coin Star can no longer be obtained by collecting 100 coins. Instead, it can be found inside of a blue box marked with a Star and a coin. The Star it contains will still be saved under the ID of a coin Star, but it will warp Mario out of the level like a regular Star. The blue boxes will only become solid and breakable once Mario has pressed the blue Switch, which is located behind the 25 Star door in the overworld.
Pink Switch[]
The pink Switch requires 55 Stars to access, and is found in the first overworld behind the 70 Star door. It allows the player to collect the 6th Star of each main course.
The sixth Stars can be found inside pink boxes marked with a Star and the number '6'. These boxes will only become solid and breakable once Mario has pressed the pink Switch, which is located in the first overworld behind the 55 Star door. The pink boxes are usually well hidden in their respective levels, and will also include "-WB-" or other badge indicators in their name, if those badges are required to reach the pink box.
Green Switch[]
Unlike the other two Switches, the green Switch is located at the end of the Void of the Limbo, which itself is accessed by entering the warp pipe at the highest point of the third overworld, Endless Heights. In order to reach the green Switch, the player must first input a code using the labelled doors. The code is explained at the end of this hack's predecessor, Park of Time.

Badges[]
This hack contains the same badges as its predecessor, Star Revenge 7: Park of Time, with each badge having the same effect, and most of them being found in similar locations.
The first badge Mario can obtain is the Super Stomp badge, which requires 20 Stars and the first boss key to get. The upgraded version, the Ultra Stomp badge, requires 40 Stars to reach. The first of the movement badges Mario can get is the Walljump Badge, which requires 33 Stars and the second boss key.
- Super Stomp Badge: (Shorthand: -SB-) This badge allows Mario to break the huge grey blocks that are often in the way, such as the grey block in the Mixed Styles overworld area, which prevents Mario from easily accessing the rest of the courses beyond Frozen Caverns. This badge is found in the first boss level, Lake Fortress Baka. It is in the main area for this level, locked behind a door that requires the boss key to open- meaning that Mario needs to head back into the level to retrieve the badge after defeating the boss.
- Ultra Stomp Badge: (Shorthand: -UB-) This badge is similar to the Super Stomp badge, but now, Mario can also break the huge blue blocks that are often in the way. This badge can be found in course eleven, Icy Temple of Time 2, in the same spot it was in in the previous hack. However, it requires Mario to tread a different path to reach it this time.
- Walljump Badge: (Shorthand: -WB-) This badge gives Mario back his ability to walljump/wallkick. This badge can be found in the second boss level, Flying Factory Fortress. It is in the main area for this level, locked behind a door that requires the boss key to open- meaning that Mario needs to head back into the level to retrieve the badge after defeating the boss.
- Triple Jump Badge: (Shorthand: -TB-) This badge gives Mario back his ability to triple-jump. This badge is also located in the second boss level, Flying Factory Fortress. Rather than being locked behind a key door, this badge is behind a blue block requiring Mario to obtain the Ultra Stomp badge to break it.
- Lava Boost Badge: (Shorthand: not used) This is the only badge that is not required to collect. This badge reduces the damage Mario takes from lava by one point, meaning that per lava-bounce, Mario will only lose two HP instead of three. This badge can be found in a cave at the top of course ten, Hot Blue Mountain, but requires the blue switch to be pressed first for it to become collectable.
Story[]
After the failed attempt to stop Timerock, Kedowser was brought back and causes a lot of chaos in the Park and it's surroundings.
