Super Mario: Mystic Isles is a minor ROM hack made by Fares242, and released in August 2016.
It features 3 main worlds with a total of 20 Stars, no coin Stars nor fall damage (similar to Super Mario Galaxy), and a final showdown.
In March 2024, the hack was recently updated by LinCrash, featuring general Quality of Life tweaks and minor gameplay adjustments.
Plot[]
"After a relaxing vacation, Mario and company has shipwrecked on a remote island called Mystic Isles.
From there, they learn the story of a evil wizard named Kapra, who has spread the Mystic Stars far and wide, in order to get his hands on the Ultra Star.
So now, it's up to Mario to collect them all and ultimately face Kapra to bring light in Mystic Isles."
