Super Mario 64: Partners In Time (Demo) is a ROM hack created by Team Cornersoft, specifically Kazeshin, LuigiXHero, PablosCorner and Quasmok.

This hack features a single level, which is inspired by a Yoob's Belly from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time.

Layout[]

Main Floor[]

The main floor is where Mario's starting point is. From here, there are five rooms connected, and the intestines accesible via a hole in the floor. Of the five rooms, the middle three all have skulls above their entries.

  • The first room from the left contains a red coin, and some regular coins.
  • The second room from the left, and first of the skull-marked rooms contains the blue block switch, two red coins, and the blue coin switch.
  • The centre room contains some Goomba's and a red coin.
  • The second room from the right and third of the skull-marked rooms contains the Toxic Lake.
  • The first room from the right contains a red coin and behind a blue block, the uvula (water crystal) that raises the water levels.

Intestines[]

The intestines connect most of the areas together. From Mario's starting point, they can be accessed by entering the hole in the floor. The intestines contains the red block switch, which needs to be triggered to allow Mario to alter the water levels.

Conveyer Floor[]

The conveyer floor is accesible via the vertical tunnel at the distant end of the intestines. During Act 1, Mario can only access the conveyer floor by flooding the intestines. For every Act after that, a noteblock is available in its place to boost Mario up the vertical tunnel and onto the conveyer floor.

The conveyer floor has one main central room with a series of conveyer belts up in the air, and several connecting rooms. The first connecting room is fairly small but very tall; there is a noteblock in the corner that will boost Mario all the way up to a distant balcony, where a red coin can be found. From that balcony, Mario can carefully drop down to a conveyer belt below, and use it to access the other conveyer belts.

The other rooms are connected to the aforementioned tall room. The first of them connects to two more rooms; the first has a red coin in it, Act 1's Star, and a black Bob-omb Buddy on holiday. The other connecting room has the spawn point for the red coin Star, and the doors leading to Sunnycide's chambers. Sunnycide's chambers are only accessible during Act 2.

Stars[]

Act 1: Flood The Intestines[]

Jump down into the intestines, and run along to the red block switch that's roughly midway along. Once that has been activated, head back up to the Main Floor, and enter the room first from the right. The blue block should now be gone, allowing Mario to enter the adjacent room. Touch the uvula, which behaves as the water tap crystal, to raise the water. Once the water is up, head back to the main room and dive down into the intestines.

Swim all the way to the end, while sticking to the left wall, otherwise you may get disorientated by the dead end with the red block switch. At the end, swim up the vertical tunnel and jump out of the water.

Head into the main room on the Conveyer Floor, then run into the connecting smaller room. Ignore the noteblock and pass through to the next room after. Once at a crossroads, enter the right room and break the ! box to nab the Star.

Act 2: Battle With Sunnycide[]

Head straight down into the intestines, and run along to the very end. There is now a noteblock here that will boost Mario up the vertical tunnel to the Conveyer Floor.

Once up on the conveyer floor, enter the tall side room, then its connecting room, then follow the left path. Mario should pass the red coin Star's spawn location then enter a large room with a funky-looking Big Bully in it. Shove the Big Bully into the lava, and take the Star.

Act 3: Swallowed Red Coins[]

The red coin locations are as follows:

  • Main floor, first room from the left.
  • Main floor, second room from the left.
  • Main floor, second room from the left, inside the long room containing the blue coin switch.
  • Main floor, centre room, behind the pillar-like feature in the middle.
  • Main floor, first room from the right.
  • Conveyer floor, main room, in the middle of a coin ring.
  • Conveyer floor, in the first side room; use the noteblock to reach the coin on the upper platforms.
  • Conveyer floor, in the side room with the black Bob-omb Buddy and Star 1. It is located behind an low L-shaped wall.

The Star will spawn on the conveyer floor, in the room leading to the battle with Sunnycide.

Act 4: Cross The Toxic Lake[]

On the main floor, enter the second room from the right, which contains the toxic lake. This room is divided into two sections: the lower section has the lake, and five gold coins marking Secrets out over the lake.

The upper section is accessed via a noteblock in the right corner of the lower section. This section is a floor with multiple cut-outs in it, which can be used to reach the platforms at the very back of the toxic lake. One of these platforms has a timed block switch on it, which will spawn blocks out over the lake for a short period of time. These timed blocks are what allow Mario to reach the Secrets over the lake without getting too badly burnt, although it might take a few presses of the timed block switch.

Once all of the Secrets have been discovered, the Star will spawn in the lower section on the ground.

Act 5: Conveyer Belt Athlete[]

For the Act, head straight to the conveyer floor via the intestines. Once there, enter the first connecting sideroom, and use the noteblock in there to jump up to the distant high platform. From there, carefully drop down to the conveyer belt below, and head into the wall it leads into. Wallkick up the tunnel here, and Mario should eventually reach a conveyere belt much higher than the rest. Jump from it to the flipswitch platform up ahead, then leap over to the ledge where the Star is.

Act 6: Deep Intestines Dive[]

While running through the intestines, you may have noticed a small square hole in the right wall leading up to the red block switch. This hole is a small passageway that turns into a steep climbing incline.

To climb this tunnel, hit the nearby red block switch, and raise the water level with Yoob's uvula, similar to the first Act. Once the water is raised, dive back into the intestines and swim into the square hole, and up to the top. Eventually, Mario will reach a few small connecting chambers with a Blargg in the middle. The Star is in one of the connecting chambers.

Coin Star[]

The blue coin switch will spawn five easy blue coins, and there are a large number of scuttlebugs wandering around this level which will all give three coins upon being defeated. It will be necessary to travel to both the Main Floor and Conveyer Floor to obtain the coin Star.
