Super Mario 64 Maker (or Super Mario Maker 64) is a ROM hack made by Kaze Emanuar and is LOVED by Phoenix Payne-Barnes.
Inspired by the game Super Mario Maker for the Nintendo Wii U, Super Mario 64 Maker allows players to build and share their own custom Super Mario 64 levels in game (and transferring them using save states).
Starting as a proof of concept that Kaze showed to his viewers on July 11th 2017, the full version of Super Mario 64 Maker was released alongside an accompanied video, 6 days later, on July 17th 2017.

Controls[]
Kaze says that it's easiest to just intuitively feel the controls, every button does something, but if you want special instructions or have issues doing something, you can read this:
Z/R rotate the camera
L+Z/R to zoom camera
A to select an object
L+A to copy an object
L+B to paste over another one
C-stick left/right to scroll through objects
Cstick up/down to scroll through objects faster
dpad L/R to switch theme
dpad U/R to switch music
Start to play level

stick moves the object
A/B move object up/down
L+B to drop to ground
L+A to slightly move the object up
C-stick L/R scrolls through objects
C-stick U/D scrolls through object types
L+C-stick L/R determines object properties
D-pad U/D scales object Y axis
press L+d-pad U/D to scale object X+Z axis
D-pad L/R to rotate the object on Y axis
press L+D-pad L/R to rotate the object on the X axis
Start to go back to menu 1
(You can hold L when doing this to set the "low solidity" tag that will make an object non solid on far distance, so enemies fall through and it doesn't cause lag)
