Super Mario Apocalypse is a ROM Hack made by Loudermonkeyboy. It was released in December 15, 2018 and contains 92 stars.

Plot

The story involves the Mushroom Kingdom collapsing in wreckage after Mario died against Bowser in their storming battle. Eventually, Bowser ruled over the kingdom with no one getting in the way to stop his evil tyranny.

Meanwhile, somewhere in a cemetary, a ghost rising from Mario's tomb is seeking revenge and tries to foil Bowser's plan once again.

Will Mario, despite his lifeless form, be able to bring back the Mushroom Kingdom in peace?

Endless Sky 7 137 40 According to the sign, this course may cause the game to freeze so it's been advised to reset the game anytime from there. Also has a secret entrance in the first overworld only reserved for Star 6. Megamix Galaxy is inside this course.
Snow-Swept Station 7 218 0 According to the sign, this course is supposed to be Course 4 as Endless Sky was swapped with it.

Stars 5 and 6 are mission-specific, requiring to enter from an alternate path.

Virtual Surreality 7 215 0 The Hall of the Stars is inside this course.
The Nightmare Realm 7 88 0 Star 7 is a hidden secret star as this level has lesser than 100 coins.
The Great Maze 21 363 (from all 7 stages) 0 The Great Maze is a collection of 7 bonus stages after defeating Bowser the first time. Can only be accessed once the cannon is open after the final fight.

Megamix Galaxy 1 196 40 Can be entered from Endless Sky. The hidden course "Remixed Purple Coins" is inside this course. Also has a secret passageway to a star in Snow-Swept Station.
Remixed Purple Coins 1 200 0 Can be entered from Megamix Galaxy. This level is based on the mission "Luigi's Purple Coins" in Toy Time Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy, although the overall layout is based on "Mario Meets Mario" in the same style.
The Hall of the Stars 6 50 Can be entered from Virtual Surreality.
Bowser's Secret Rave 1 148 30 The first Bowser course.
Bowser's Supermax Prison 1 50 50 The second Bowser course. To reach the boss, it is needed to collect all 5 keys scattered throughout the level and get the star.
The Dark Obelisk 1 2 55 The third Bowser course. This level has 2 paths: the first leading straight to Bowser; the other to the most hardest star ever made. However, it is been said that upon engaging Bowser in battle causes the game sound to glitch until a reset is done after that.
The Grand Finale 1 200 91 The final course of the game, only after collecting all 91 stars. It is based on the mission "The Star Festival" in Super Mario Galaxy, within layouts and styles of the castle grounds stage from Super Mario 64.
The Breach 1 0 90 (for the red crystal door) This level acts as a crossroad bridge between the 3 overworlds, the Grand Finale and later after the final Bowser fight. The latter takes to a room where you can choose the blue crystal door to either unlock the cannon in the Great Maze or unlock the red crystal door after collecting all 90 stars.

Overworld 1 (Post-Apocalypse) 2 There are 2 hidden stars: one on a tomb in the cemetary, and a Toad behind the alternate entrance of Course 4.
Overworld 2 (Ante-Apocalypse) 2 There are 2 hidden stars: one from red coins (some are inside the rooms requiring 40 stars), and MIPS that can only be found from a secret warp from the "Big House in the Sky" stage.
Overworld 3 (Bowser's Tower) 2 There are 2 hidden stars: one up top of Bowser's Tower and one by talking to Loudermonkeyboy, the creator in monkey form, inside his game house.
