Super Mario Fantasy 64 is a major ROM hack made by don camilo. This hack is, per se, a direct sequel, as it features the same aesthetics as in Super Mario Island. It's the third ROM hack to have all 182 Stars without any required ASM, but unlike kaizo hacks, this one has a progressive peak difficulty curve.
Many elements and foes come back from Island in a reason to stretch the story. Again, the music soundtrack consist of real-life songs but makes a cross with a few video game tracks.
Since this hack is made to be open-world, it has a map provided for players to know the whereabouts of each course and their requirements to enter. Also, Stars don't take Mario out of a level compared to a regular hack, so it progresses at a non-stop style.
Plot[]
After the events of conquering the island and destroying Robowser, Mario pursues his quest to a bigger yet unknown country to gather Stars in his collection.
