Super Mario: Stolen Colors is a ROM hack created by BroDute.
This hack was, along with the demo version of Star Revenge 2: To the Moon, cancelled (although incomplete versions of both have been published). Its year of creation further proves it was seemingly developed inbetween Star Revenge Redone, Night of Doom and Mario on An Saoire; though no previews whatsoever show any traces where it was made.
The premise is that after the events of Night of Doom, Bowser has enacted a plan to drain the colors from the Mushroom Kingdom in order to make it entirely lifeless, and if anyone is hit by the effects of the Colorless Curse, dies on the spot. And so once again, Mario goes to stop him and foil his evil antics for good.
Gameplay[]
There are only 3 levels completed, with one of which is made for exploring, and these were later reused as bigger improvements in Star Revenge 6: Luigi's Adventure and Star Revenge 6.5: Wrath of the Dim. Flower. Gameplay-wise, it follows a openworld continuity shared by Mario on An Saoire's concept standards.
To collect all 13 Stars, the player needs to use Star Display's warp function to unlock the Metal Cap and Wing Cap.
The Act Select screens have been disabled, so only the name of the first Act of each course can be discerned.
