Super Mario: The Collapsing World is a mini ROM hack created by Fares242 and released in September 2017.
It features 6 Stars spread across 6 individual courses; no 100 coins, nor fall damage (in the likes of Super Mario Galaxy), and has average difficulty with tougher challenges.
In March 2024, the hack was recently updated by LinCrash, featuring general Quality of Life tweaks and minor gameplay adjustments.
Plot[]
The planet is on the brink of collapsing, but Mario learns of a "Crestic Star", which has the power to stop this, which he sets out to recover in order to save the world from destruction.
The Mushroom Kingdom is at high risk of a disaster! Mario sets off an adventure to a new land called the Southern Plains, looking for the mystical Crestic Star that will help restore the world from the collapse. But to garner its power, he will have to search for 6 Emerald Stars to open its altar and reverse the danger that falls upon every land.
