Super Miner 64 is a ROM hack created by M4m4, superminer64, and ZOMCREEP12. Currently, it is only available as a single level demo. In this hack, the player plays as "Jack", a Mario lookalike dressed in blue that seems to be some sort of celebrity, based on how certain NPC's respond to him.

Upon loading up the hack, Mario will be immediately dropped into Tower of the Wing Cap, where he can activate the Wing Cap Switch. This is necessary to do in order to collect the Star belonging to Act 3 of the first course.

Mount Miner[]

Mount Miner is the only main course available in this demo. It has five Stars to collect, including a 100 coin Star. This course has at least 131 coins in it, with most of them being blue coins obtained from enemies such as Giant Goomba's and Piranha Plants.

According to a Bob-omb Buddy near Mario's starting point, Mount Miner used to be called Ogre Fields. This is later confirmed when talking to King Bob-omb, who is shocked to find that "Shrek Fields" is no longer there.

Act 1: Down The Giant Pipe[]

Head to the upper area of the course and go to the giant warp pipe filled with water. Swim down into it and collect the Star at the bottom of the warp pipe.

Act 2: Wooden Log Secrets Of Lake Miner[]

Go to the lake, and stand next to all five of the wooden posts in their own tiny islands- each one has a Secret on it. After discovering all five Secrets, the Star will spawn on the larger island in the middle of the lake.

Act 3: Mystery Of The Giant Ball[]

Head to the upper area of the course, and head to the back end. Over here, there is what appears to be a crater with a very large shiny ball wedged in it. Stand still on top of it in the middle, and Mario will be warped to a nearby part of the course that is otherwise inaccessible. Follow the mountain path upwards, and eventually Mario will reach a wing cap box near a sign that advises him to avoid trying to walk on the rainbows. Use the Wing Cap to fly between the cloud platforms until Mario reaches the highest cloud, where the Star is waiting.

Act 4: King Bob-omb Is Back?![]

Follow the same route as in the previous Act, using the metal ball warp and mountain path. This time, at the top of the mountain, King Bob-omb can be found near the Wing Cap box. Defeat him in battle and grab his Star.

Act 5: Thanks For Playing![]

There is no Star associated with this Act.
