Tower of Delight is a collaborative Major ROM hack led by Mese_Insanity, with other Japanese Community co-creators, kusozako_T, Tomaru, shisyow, Dretchen, Furario, Remilia, and 95rn16.
This project was initially organized by Rulu (co-creator of SM64 Stellato), but taken over by Mese due to time constraints. This hack is the first non-kaizo Japanese community collaboration, with both previous Japanese collaborations (Super Mario Integration of Fragments and Super Mario 64 SezNative Reminisence) being very difficult kaizo hacks.
Gameplay[]
This hack is a compilation of levels from eight different creators. Every course, including the secret courses, has exactly seven Stars in it to collect. Progression happens only via Star count increases; there are no doors requiring keys to unlock, only Star requirements.
All of the courses except for B3 The Last Dimension are accessed from inside the tower. The Last Dimension is accessed by using the cannon on the top floor to shoot upwards, then, once on top of the tower, using the Wing Cap to fly over to the warp pipe in the distance.
