Transcending the Rainbow is a major Kaizo hack created by Serium, containing a total of 182 Stars. It features consistently high difficulty, a unique music soundtrack, a guest course, custom collision types (credited by Redmat) and tons of experimental, creative fun jumps.
Released in January 2025, this project initially started in January 2023 over the course of 2 years. A short 30-star demo was later released in May 2024 with rather a couple level differences compared to the final version. This hack was inspired by recent kaizo hacks, following the core design from SezNative Reminiscence or Fractured Multiverse, just to name those.
One of the special assets this hack gets away from most major kaizo hacks, is the Speed Star Game, which replaces most of the 100 Coin Stars with a quick jumping parkour challenge with intricate tricks and mechanics. This also allows to restart an attempt after failing over a jump until the player overcomes and clear the obstacle courses.
