Hello! Recently, there's been some big changes going on- with the biggest happening just a few minutes before writing this- so I figured it was best to put all this down in writing.
Firstly, there's been quite a few revisions to our rules. I'd appreciate if everyone could have a quick read of these, even if you've been active here for quite a while.
The main page has drastically changed! Although this is only visible in desktop mode. Sorry mobile users, one day I'll learn mobile css, but not today. I'd love some feedback on how it looks, if you think anything should be added/removed etcetera. It's been months in the making, so I want to make sure it's as close to perfect as can be.
Some of you may have noticed the number of pages in the top right corner of the browser fluctuating a lot. There's been a lot of page deletions by me recently, primarily of pages that were created to be location guides, but have been sitting around untouched for years, with no one adding more info. Anyone is welcome to create those pages again- don't be scared by the deletion log popping up if you do- but it is basically pointless to have a location article if it contains the same info that can be found on the hack's main article.
Next- we have a new font on this wiki! It's called Merriweather, and anyone can use it, although it does require basic knowledge of source editor to use. The attribute to invoke is font-family, and it works with both the <span style> and <div style> functions. I hope you all enjoy the new aesthetic options it provides!

Next, there's been a complete overhaul of the List of Hacks page. It is now much more streamlined, but has had single level hacks and kaizo hacks moved to their own respective pages, just to cut down on the length of the primary list. I may create some more lists- I'm leaning towards separate lists for character hacks/vanilla hacks, since they're all very similar and crazy abundant. Once again, gimme a shout if you have any ideas for those pages, or just go right for it and edit them yourselves, it's not like they're protected pages lol.
Lastly, there's been a rise in activity from aspiring vandals. I'm unsure why, perhaps it's because most kids are back at school since September and have nothing else to do with their time on the school computers (goddamn IT admins must have block lists longer than my edit history by now). Some of it is very blatant, which is easy to deal with, and some of it seems to be coming from editors who think they can gain trust here by doing "legitimate" edits before actually vandalising the place. Luckily, one of the benefits of having a pretty quiet wiki is that I recognise most of the usernames of the regular editors here ('sup guys!), so it's surprisingly easy to keeptrack of new editors on the block... since... y'know. There aren't many. Do let me know if you find any odd activity, though, or anything you think might be worth mentioning. I will never immediately ban users, I'll always do plenty of checking out first, so don't worry about being wrong and getting a regular editor in trouble.
In case of the incredibly small chance that one of these vandals/aspiring vandals is reading this... do consider a different hobby. Not only are you not gonna make a dent in this wiki- I'm on here a lot- but vandalising wikis is honestly just... a really lame way to pass the time. Good lord. Even 14 year old me had more interesting things to do with his time, and I do not say that lightly.
