WORLDSLIDE64, also called Elsewhere, is a ROM hack created by Krobuc for the SimpleFlips' Slide Hack Competition (2024) ft. PirateSoftware, in which it placed 25th.
Gameplay Changes[]
Fall damage has been disabled for this hack, as has Mario's lives counter. Dying in any of the levels will warp Mario back to the beginning of that slide, rather than warping him back to the overworld.
Each course has one red coin Star for the player to collect, and has a warp at its end that takes Mario to the next level. He does not need to collect any of the Stars to use the warps, only finish the slide. After collecting any three Stars, Mario will be able to enter the shortcut room, which will allow him to warp immediately to any of the primary four courses (C1, C2, C8, C15). Once he has collected all four Stars available from those courses, he will be able to enter the door in the shortcut room which warps him to the bonus level, where the fifth and final Star can be found by collecting 8 red coins.
